Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

In April 2008 I had a traumatic event resurface in my life after 40 years. I went into a severe depression and was diagnosed with PTSD. I lost interest in everything including my job. I lost my appetite and weight, was crying all the time and could not sleep. I had a terrible fear of being alone. My husband had to leave his job to take of me at home. I went to my doctor and was prescribed several different medications to help with the depression, anxiety, sleep and PTSD. Although the medications helped I felt sedated most of the time and slept a lot.

In October of 2008, my husband and I went to a seminar in Bennington, Vermont to hear Sharrie Hanley talk about Neurofeedback. I was desperate for help. Before we left I made an appointment for an assessment on November 12, 2008 with Sharrie – all I wanted was to be me again!

After my assessment, Sharrie started training me on neurofeedback on November 14, 2008. By the middle of December 2008 I was starting to feel much better. My doctor has been weaning me off of my medication and I am feeling like me again!

Sharrie, words cannot express how grateful I am to have you in my life, “you gave me back my life and I thank you with my whole heart.”

Thank you so much,
Mary
