Learning Disability / Reading
My son was struggling with reading since he started school this was one subject that he didnt like. It was hard for him. After having him get some extra help in reading for two years things had not changed. The school suggested that we do further testing. I was disappointed because I thought that they were helping him already. Frustrated I looked into other ways of helping him. Neurofeedback was one of them. If you dont know about this you might think a little like I did on one hand maybe this was the answer I was looking for and on the other hand I might be throwing my money out the window. After a few sessions he was a whole ne kid. He started reading signs as we passed by them. Around this time it was Easter and he wanted to read his Easter card out loud instead of just taking the money. He then chose to read his sisters card too. This was something I was not use to. My sons confidence grew tremendously. His teacher could not explain why his change came about but for us we knew. In the end neurofeedback was worth seeing my son smile and feel comfortable with reading. We are now bringing our daughter in for neurofeedback!
