Addiction and Depression with Anxiety
My mind was in a quandary as I attempted to perform the professional duties of my full time job. Was my 29 year old son alive even? His 3:00 A.M. phone call had me petrified! Hed been drinking profusely-AGAIN! How could I help him? My life was exploding with as much turmoil as his. The worrying, the sleepless nights, the unpaid bills hed ignored, his lack of hygiene and most of all my feelings of helplessness. What had happened to the son whom I knew only a year ago?
Doctors claimed he was bipolar and prescribed numerous drugs which allowed my son to self medicate. He proceeded to consume alcohol along with these abundant medications causing me extreme stress. I called all the help agencies in the phone book and spoke with very, caring professionals who attempted to advise me. The bottom line was, HE NEEDED TO WANT THE HELP. I managed to send him to rehab facilities on two occasions only to observe those previous behaviors reoccur.
I truly thank God for the person who has saved my sons life and mine. Sharrie Hanley has been training my son with Neurofeedback since February of 2009. I finally have my son back! His sleep patterns are regular, his hygiene is normal, hes off the couch and at this moment has custody of his son! Hes off all those expensive medications and living the life that would make any parent proud. My son and I will forever be grateful for the scientific advancement of neurofeedback coupled with the help of the caring professional who so knowledgeably deals with giving life back to those who are so desperate.
